The beginning ...

It all started one Thursday night … a small group of fans got together online to watch an episode of Beauty and the Beast. We had a great time and we learned that we had much in common. Most of us were writers – Aliset, Carole W. and Olivia K. Goode were writing wonderful fanfiction, Vicky was writing beautiful songs, and I was, well … I was thinking about writing.

We all had a terrific desire to know more. We had so many questions ... What happened in those missing scenes? What motivated characters to do as they did? Why on earth did the writers write that?

And we had ideas ...

One night, after watching Nor Iron Bars a Cage, the challenge was set. We assigned ourselves homework. We were each to write an episode expansion – our version of what happened at the end of Nor Iron Bars a Cage – 800 words or less and have it done in a week.

Well … the first thing we learned from this project is that some of us work better without rules. Some number of weeks later we had four stories and a song! We submitted that first project to Winterfest Online. We had so much fun we wanted to do it again. This Spring, after we had all recovered from WFOL, we finished a second project. This time the episode was Down to a Sunless Sea … and again, we had a great time.

So, we've decided to do these assignments more often … and we’ve decided to give them this home.

Everything … the word was heard so often on Beauty and the Beast.

To us, the word defines the show and represents our desire to ask everything … explore everything … see and hear everything. You'll find works here by those of us who came together that first Thursday night … Aliset, Carole W., Olivia K. Goode, SandyX, and Vicky. We've been joined here by our friends, Cyndi and Nancy and Michelle, whom we are happy to have share their enthusiasm and talent with us.
